This bench embodies precision, playfulness, and craft in equal measure. Eight identical loops, each bent by hand from 5/16” mild steel rod on a Dy-Acro bender, come together in a structural plus-sign formation. The bright red steel, TIG-welded and coated to resist rust, supports a poplar top made from the whitest, curliest cuts of wood I could find—brought to a luminous finish with Odie’s oil. The result is a study in smooth curves and honest structure: a meeting of industrial precision and human touch that invites you to sit, set something down, and smile at how neatly it all comes together.
